Have you ever felt consumed
as you watch him leave the room
when your eyes can only stare
the way he glances back at you

You see his shadow disappear
escaping from your view
while you sit there all alone
and there's nothing you can do

Have you ever felt consumed
as you danced the night away
waltzing slow across the floor
as the music softly played

When he dipped you real low
pressing close against your hips
the way he throws you for a loop
until your reservation slips

When you fell onto the couch
dripping sweat that made you tingle
pressing wet between your lips
your limbs that intermingled

Have you ever felt consumed
sitting close beside someone
lingering in thought
until you've finally come undone

At that moment when you fly~
so high above the sea
dreaming in the clouds
a place you never want to leave

Have you ever felt consumed
when you watch him leave the room
when your eyes can only stare
the way he glances back at you

Yes, and yes to all - though it was "Her" or maybe "several her's"...but yes, all the time (hee hee)
Well asked and written...

I felt totally consumed as I read this wonderful piece of writing.  The imagery was exquisite and I'll look forward to reading more of your work.  Take care......Sue

Yes, and yes to several hers and hims.
I like how you said that!  Hard to say who is glancing back at who.
Thank you so much jwesley.

The flow was a little 'sing songy'... I'm so happy you enjoyed and went with it.
I appreciate you taking the time to read Accordionmaid-en.

*smile*  Nice of you to say so Amber Dawn,
don't you just hate to see em leave?
At least they are taking another look before go?  Thanks for laughing....with me, I hope.

Thank you Sue for your nice compliments.  I have a hard time thinking of my poetry as being exquisite, I'm way too critical of myself.  I appreciate the boost of confidence, very much!!

Hi Sven, I've been reading in passions for some time, and I have enjoyed your poetry.  Thank you for sharing the moment,
and for welcoming me.

*sigh* oh yes, and what a feeling it is. I lost myself in the whole feel of this poem. An absolute delight. I love it.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Oh ya, and didn't you just want to carry that look around with you all day and night?
and see those eyes looking back at you at breakfast?
Thanks for the romantic memory.
