Hi. I'm doreen peri's daughter. I'll be 9 years old next month. I joined the creative writing club at school. I used to have another name here, AliciaRose, but I forgot my password so my mom changed the name for me and I have a new password. I wrote this poem yesterday. Thank you.

"Excuses!"

Today is a new day in my life.
It is not yesterday.
It is not tomorrow.
There are many things
I plan to do today!

They are

Go to playwith my friends
but no-one's there!
Do my hair, but I can't do it!
Go to school but my alarm clock
was not set!
Go on an airplane, but I missed it!
Do my book report
but I lost the assignment!
Take a bath, but my hair
does not fit in the tub!
I'm tired!

LOL. I've heard at least one of those excuses before, but not the one about the hair not fitting into the tub. Very good!

I am glad I wasn't looking for excuses when it came time to read this poem that you wrote. I bet you are gonna ace your creative writing club with flying colors. I look forward to reading more from your talented mind.

Thank you everyone for responding and saying how good I was. I don't have Creative Writing Club any more because the teacher of the club is going to illustrate her book. But I will always keep the creative in my heart. Thanks.

Yes Alicia, you are a chip off the old block. You have a great writing talent there. This is a very cute poem, sounds like you have some pretty good excuses. Keep up the good writing, and you have a great teacher in your mom.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
