A Crazy Dream A crazy dream I had last night Waking me up in dazzled delight Giggling and smiling with memories How was I to know I’d dreamt with the crazies? Two friends were knocking on my door Middle of the night, it was half past four Seems a friend for their kitty was needed So this intuition they quickly heeded. A blindness occurred, a dense like fog Now the path leads to a seeing-eye dog The fur was flying through the air like rain Kitty wanted that dog in another terrain. If this menagerie wasn’t weird enough This poor kitty’s life was about to become tough Hopefully not a life full of hidden pain As they welcomed an enormous Great Dane. Next we wander to the land of Africa What did we find but a zebra, o eureka! Now that our troubles seem gone like the breeze We’re off to Australia to grab some kangaroosies. Back at home, a new day refreshing us all Looking out the window, animals having a ball One of our bunch to walk the dogs Oh how we gasped seeing him dragged through the bog. Seems this is the time my body decided to wake Bad timing I’d say, did my friend end up in the lake? Here’s hoping my friends enjoyed peaceful sleep After this dream, a simple kitty they’re sure to keep. [This message has been edited by DawnG (edited 10-31-2001).] |

LOL, what a crazy dream, Dawn. And my doggie wants a kitty for Christmas, so he can drag it around and whip it in the air like a rag doll, like he does with everything else around here. Alas, he'll have to settle for another stuffed kitty. I enjoyed this poem. |
