A passing strange parade They are gone from me. Bodies burnt or now decayed. But still within my mind I see, A passing strange parade. Like attired in funeral dress. With faded flowers loosely clasped. They smile and grin in mock distress. They know my time is passing fast. In stained and yellow ragged shroud. Silent, she waits and beckons me, Tall , stately , meek yet proud She is the only one I see. |
