standing on a shadow's lace

Existence

I know where courage lies
doesn’t start in another’s eyes
it is the sound from deep within
thicker layer beneath my skin
one lone voice speaking unafraid
strongest light you can not shade
obeying balance of right and wrong
from weakness makes you strong
higher place from temptations pleasure
yard stick that is our measure
powerful force of self persistence
it is the me of my existence
