I watched the leaves fly backwards on
          Saturday night,
Right at about the same time the
          Clocks turned back.

It was almost as if the world itself
          Was turning back.
A delay to the onset of November’s
          Frost and chill.

An hour of my life that I got back,
         To use as my own.
But, it was just one more hour
         That you weren’t here.
