Every

now and then I

sit and stare at the sky

the
wind is colder tonight

October
has filled the air

with
it's harsh reminders

of
how long winter will be

Sometimes
I feel as though

I
have lost motivation to

smile,
laugh, love

there
is so much I need to say

so
I offer my heart to you

surrender
in  faith

soft
music will serenade the mood

I
look up and wonder

exactly
how far is away,?

away
is the tear in my eye

will
it be that star I never

reach?

will
it be that heart I never

hold?

exactly
how far I whisper ?

when
I've run the woods

and
flown the night

still
knowing, always knowing

its
hard to catch water

when
it rains

I keep my ideals,
because in spite of everything,
I still believe that
people are really good at heart.

Yes, it is hard to catch. Elusive love, elusive peace, elusive dreams. Nicely written, greeneyes.

*sigh* It may be hard to catch but as long as we believe it in our hearts, it will someday find us. A beautiful poem that spoke from your heart with all the yearning that you feel.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

This is nice.  And it is a place we have all been at one time or another.

I think it's normal to compare our moods to the seasons, ie Autumn into Winter equals a desolation, coldness, sadness etc. but sometimes it's the perfect opportunity to reevaluate and renew too. (But hibernation sounds good too at times! *L*)

I enjoyed reading your thoughts

Music, tonal clear & pure,
Caresses the harshest of curves.

How often does our mood change with the seasons, and fall is a moody one.  I loved your poem Lauren, very nice.
