Deep in the heart

Virginia lady
southern belle of all my dreams
please alight my coach
~*~
take my proffered hand
walk with me to the meadow
listen to nature
~*~
lift your chin to me
accept the press of soft lips
melt into my arms
~*~
now back to the coach
we shall go farther next time
to picnic I mean

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Interloper - if I am really quiet and avert my eyes at the proper moment, can I carry the picnic basket? Well done. Chris

Just don't tell the rest of us where and when this picnic is, unless you want a really  big audience.   What a great poem!
Doreen must be drooling about now.

My, my...Doreen you are a lucky lady indeed to have this written for you!!! Interloper, you can see we are all enchanted by these thoughts. I would imagine this would indeed be a magical picnic. If you ever do go on one...may I suggest a duet to tell us all about it???

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Interloper~  You realize what this means don't you?  You must write us all a love poem!   We're just swooning from the one you wrote Doreen...you don't want us to be jealous do you?   Hehe, just kidding!   This is very sweet Interloper.  Doreen is truly lucky

Hugs,
~Krista

I second that emotion - there's a challenge there Smitten Kitten, can he do it?  A love poem for all the ladies in Passion?  Well, this one was for a lovely lady, and you did it beautifully.  Perhaps, you can do one under a willow tree, in a field of flowers if you are taking requests    This was beautifully done Interloper.

I just followed the ants...

And found Doreen at the picnic, with her laptop, clicking in on this time when everyone wasn't looking!

Very good!
