A partly kissed moment sings with the great frustration of love unmet.
Dusted in the sorrow of the world
she tied her feet to the path of pain once more.
Along the trail came a the tyrant dispair
to hug her heels and weigh her down again.
She kicked at the empty air around her
trying to find something to make contact with
a place for her blame.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If shadows dancing did prented
of love and time partaken
rest your soul you weary one
Do not by night, be shaken.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time thinks not of us
as much we think of it.
This I am certainly convinced of.
Why give so much thought
to something that cares not for us?
Isn't it such a selfish thing
since it rambles on with no notice
for the pain or joy in our lives?
How dare it not stop for a simple moment
to capture and hold, for a time,
someone's breath as it touches the air around it.
How dare time not cease with us
as we take a second for a kiss
and a lifetime to say "I love you".

*notes by Jenn...umm..does this one make sense?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All these thoughts..
words
like delving into my soul
to elaborately dress one
"I love you"
in the rich royalty
of passion
and poetry.
All these thoughts
words
I have but one thing to say
and I am spoiled with too many words
to speak it with.
One simple
"I love you."
Colored with the whispers you cause
with the sound of your voice.
Sometimes the heart needs the solace of solitude and silence.
Enjoyed these, T.
They kept getting better as I reread . . .
Some good lines:
"A partly kissed moment sings . . ."
"How dare time not cease with us
as we take a second for a kiss . . ."
and
"Colored with the whispers you cause
with the sound of your voice."
I suppose it helps that I've long had a fascination with 'the enigma of time'.
I begin to find we must seize the time, make it our own and ignore the incessant ticking. Enjoyed
(big hugggsssssss) Yes, to cherish every moment with simple sweet love is the most beautiful thing, and to say "I love you" honestly is pure beauty! (sigh) Very wonderful thoughts, sweet friend! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jennifer, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
Noah Eaton
These 'moments' are really beautiful Jenn.
Very nicely penned.  Enjoyed, Nancy.
moments. . . why don't they last longer???
and yes, they make perfect sense. . . when you think about them. . . and that's the sign of a good poem. . .
You certainly took your pen and plastered
the paper well with this.  So many words
expressed...I enjoyed the selfishness of
time.  Yes,  isn't it so rude!....Just
keeps on going, never stops, not even for
just an instant.
