Lovers Dance of Sweet Romance

As lovers dance a waltz so fine
And bask in rays of sweet sunshine
Can I have this dance with you
And dance on grass still wet with dew
We’ll dry our tears of long ago
Spring will melt away the snow
Our feet will barely touch the floor
As we sing romance once more

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Melissa, Amy, Wanda, Nancy and Chris, thank you, so glad you enjoyed this. Actually, this was going to be the beginning of a poem, but I never got around to finishing it, and it seemed as though it could stand alone. Now I'm not so sure and may go back and finish it

I definately think it will be great whether you let it stand alone or finish it. This is a true beauty.

Dance upon dew graced grass
freedom from loves ghost at last
barefoot I will sway with you
until we both sing anew
this is corny
but that is me
just a southern boy
lost in your poetry
let's dance

Dawn, thank you so much for your kind words

Duncan,
Corny? No, for this is sweet
You make the dance start in my feet
I’ll dance with you under the sky
Like winged doves we’ll fly so high
And can you hear the melody?
They play it just for you and me
If there is truth in dreams come true
This dream was made for me and you

Domzi, thank you and yes…do or die… wise words indeed

Regina, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I very much enjoyed your poem this morning..that didn’t just sing…it rocked!!!

Sandra, glad you liked it *hugs*
