What would have happened if...

If my mother had not met my father?
If I had not been born?
If my brother had not been part of my life?
If my father had not loved me?
If I had not grown up, gone to school?

If you had not been standing there that day?
If you had said no?
If I had never married you?
If we were no longer together?

If I were born a woman instead of a man?

I don’t like all of the what ifs, for I might not know you now.
Thank you for being in my life.  Thank you for the Ifs being right.

Just a little thought provoker?  What if we didn’t have the internet?

(big hugggssssssss) Oh my gosh, I am so happy the Internet does exist, for I would never have known you and all my wonderful poet friends! (smiles) So many what ifs, yet I am so blessed that that is not the case and all has happened the way God has made it! (smiles) Beautiful thoughtful poem, dearest friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Magnus, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Here I am, at this age in my life, and you ask me what if, and I'm going to say, "nope!"

I'm comfortable in the skin I'm in,
my wrinkles suit me fine,
I'm aging more than gracefully,
better than any wine!
I'm not going to think of this,
today or even tomorrow!
For if I did not have you all,
I'd drown in writer's sorrow!

Yes Sunshine,  I agree with you...It is far
to late in my life to worry about the whats
and the ifs of it.  I too am happy just where
I am.

I always ask this question, both in an emotional and in a physics kind of way. You know, what if there had never been time, what if we could travel out of it, what if there is a parallel universe(if so, I'm going)where everything is better-or worse.
Wow, I could go on and on, too.
No internet?? NO WAY! That would be too terrible, to have never found this place.

Sandra....we could all get stuck in the what
if syndrome if we allowed ourself to.  Our
lives should exist on being happy with where
we are,  not wondering what if....thinking
it might have been better.....There was a
day when what if was a focal point for me,
it did not help me grow emotionally.

PS:  I could write a book of Ifs....but I
would rather just go on and enjoy the here
and nows...  Thanx for commenting...

Yes....certainly is....

What if the earth really were square and the
ships did fall off as soon as they went over
the edge.....guess there would not have been
an America....?  Think about it...Fun, huh?
Thanx.

Magnus - What if you had not written this? What if I had not read it to-day? It would have stayed bottled up inside of you and I wouldn't have been coaxed to sit here and ponder. Thanks, Chris

Even scarier...what if the internet cost $2.99 a minute? There would be PPP anonymous I hope! Passions Posting Poets. I often wonder myself what if, then freak and put it behind me. Thanks for making me think.

Sincerely,
Regina
