Storms Renewal The sky starts to boil as dark clouds bring the storm ever closer A distant rumble brings a smile to her face for she knows she can again release the pain of the past into the thunder and lightning quickly approaching She stands firm on the mountain side feel the refreshing winds whip her long gown of forest green around her legs Arms raised with palms outspread she projects her spirit to tumble with the clouds whose blackness has hidden the sun at noon on this summer day Her spirit feels lightning slicing through it, burning away past memories better left not known The power of the thunder throws her about the heavens teaching her of her mortal weaknesses and how she must still trust in the powers of the earth if she is to live She returns to her body as the storm crests and begins to fade Feeling weak she sinks to the ground on her knees to thank God for sending the storm this day that filled her spirit’s need Having freed herself once again from the past she is renewed to continue her quest Karen Torbiak© Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. You release very well, Karen... one thing I've always noted here, in Passions, is that when poets release their fears, their hurts, their pain, and quietly share it, that is when others find... they are not alone... |

Goodness, Karen this needs to get more attention. I sense there is much to this peom and the words within it. I hope that these words are showing your inner growth and strength as well as your mystical way of telling about your oh so powerful women within your stories....Seems to be that your character is YOU... |

This is indeed a piece full of power. The picture you create is very vivid, and the feeling is almost sureal. Excellently written! Wonderful to read! Poetry is an expression of feelings. I do not write poems, but rather, the poems use me to write themselves. |

they do indeed do that, and to stand within a storm and feel its power....I love this.... ![]() Greeneyes~ ![]() ***** I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.
