I see heaven within your eyes enticing the love in my heart your whisper in the solace of night upon my feathered pillow white I see your fond memories that flow I see your sapphire eyes glistening in sunlit crystals of the snow Visions of you in the darkness within memories of my soul silken strings of my heart without you, they play a solo we were a duet, we were a whole? I wish I could find the little girl within me within the finger paintings of my mind watching mom adorn her lipstick her lips a cherry wine i didnt have any expectations just "who am i going to play with today" jumping rope happily, along with my little sister Faye Maybe because my life is growing shorter im not ready to say good bye I want to dance like sienna leaves blending in a waltz of rhyme I want to feel loved, just one more time Sometimes I want to fly and lose my breath and taste satin icing of the sky I want to feel your heart beating next to mine Is it too much to ask? to feel loved just one more time painting a kaleidoscope of memories like the finger paintings of my mind.
