I'm gonna tell a story from a long, long time ago
about a group of poets with funny names like Toe.
I really never realized, until recently I'd say
how much I missed the banter and the play.

We told stories of each poet, no one was exempt
we'd laugh as each outdid the last poetic tag attempt.
Searching through the archives I found forgotten posts.
They lurk there in the hallway like spooky hallowed ghosts.

Some of you have never seen it all this game I talk about
if you have a chance please take the time to check it out.
These hallways fill with laughter and the poking never ends
just a bit of banter between great poetic friends.

It seems some of the poets from long forgotten past
have gone on to better things, good things seldom last.
But if by chance a few of you are still around the way
I wondered if you'd join in some old fashion Toetag play.

So I'm calling all the poets like Longjohn and Lorelei,
Elizabeth and Suthern, I've seen you passing by.
I don't know if any others might be hanging out in here
there's one thing that I know for sure.. I saw that Balladeer.

So if your up please let me know I need poetic proddin'
For soon I fear that all my poetic bones will be a rottin.
I've been gone for far to long its time I jumped back in
So here we go Come One Come All let this war begin again.

I wasn't around for all of it, but I have had the good luck to see enough of it to go digging through the archives...I recommend it highly! And I can't agree more, Lucie! Let's get ready to rummmmmmmmmmmbbbbbbbblllleeee!!!!

When I was here long ago I was able to see some of the wonderful bantering that went on and I can say for sure it always brought a smile to my face and laughter to my heart. I add my vote to this poem.

is play time about to begin?

I think the games have just begun
I came on PIP and heard those legends
Of Longs and Toes and Deers by heaven
and if the games are staring now
I'm at the post...I'll write, and how!!!

Ah...those were the days!!! How quickly they passed. It seems the 'old timers' don't hang out as much as before. I loved this Lucie!! And it's NICE to read you!!!

(big hugggsssssss) Oh my gosh, this is soooooo clever, sweet Lucie! (sigh) I've been here since December of last year and I too have noticed such of this happening every now and then, which always reminds me of sitcoms and is amusing to watch! (sigh) I pray they all may be reunited and such this special family can continue on! (smiles) Wonderful, dearest friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lucie, thank you for sharing!

I need to tell Interloper he's playing with fire. I loved this poem as it embodies what I love most about this place! And Midnitesun don't stop or you'll get rear ended!

It's sure good to see you back, Lucie... and you're not the only one missing the good ole days... Life is pretty dern difficult for a shadow with no one to follow! LOL

If you can rally the troups, I'll be here with 'belles' on. *G* Great poem... in an effort I applaud. *S*
