And In Closing

I use to be of boundless enthusiasm
but no one here or in my recent past
would ever have known that.

I use to be strong, yet tender,
intoxicated with life,
conspicuous in a crowd,
sometimes to a fault, but always
sensitive to others.

I use to be many things, that today I am not.
Whether they are still within me,
or my power to be again,
I am no longer sure of.

I have waded in the deep,
danced in shadows, dreamt by candlelight
living in the scent of vanilla,
trying to gain what I have lost,
these last few years..
I have emptied my thoughts
on pages where I am archived,
expressing to others
what none can really understand.

I  thought I could be open-ended,
patient, always believing
that good shall win out.
That if one is tolerant and understanding,
and fair, and all those other words
one is taught when growing up,
that happiness would soon follow.

Somewhere I failed, if not myself, then others.
Maybe some of my words will live on, maybe not.
My heart, once so full of passion, has been dying,
my feelings wasted on paper, blurred
by tears of misunderstanding, spilling from eyes
that no longer wish to weep.

If I have touched just one, then I am satisfied
that my time in passions was not one of my failures.

I was first MMoonchild, a long time ago,
a true child of the moon,
sharing my poems of love and hope...

I was Lady Ollyne, when waiting for my Knight
to come  rescue me from the loneliness
of living only in dreams...

I was Alicethruglass, when I had to face myself
in the mirror and often times didn't like what I saw...

And I was and am nakedthoughts, pouring out to all
my deepest emotions, day to day, moment to moment
knowing it could never last.

My thanks to ALL

Maureen

"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."

All things you were, you still are,
In the possibilities,
The sharing enriched us all,
Truth in masked fantasies.

You will always be remembered
By words, and emotions
You shared.

At least you had names for your phases of life. Most of us just muddle along in singularity.

I love your work, especially the short ones and most especially the positive ones

Maureen,
You have been given a life to live and must live it. Every trouble you mentioned is in the past. LEAVE THEM THERE. Each day is a new day, a new space, a new time, a new you.
Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and your tears will drown you. Look for the good things and they will find you. You are the battery that makes things happen. There are no angels or knights. They are all within you
mind. You can make them or not. Do not put the anchor of the past on the new of tomorrow. For most it is one step at a time.
But you must make that first step. Bless you Maureen, I can not wave a wand nor can anyone else. You are the queen of your world
and reign your own kingdom. And thank you for confiding in me. *L* SY

We learn to grow strong,
we learn to let what was in the past....

I have a special saying Maureen, that I heard and now try to live by

"Don't look back to the past for it is gone
don't worry about tomorrow, for is it not yet here,
but live for today, and make it the best that it can be.

or
We dream of tomorrow,
live for today,
and learn ETERNAL truths from the past.

Good luck Maureen, make it what YOU want it to be.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

Beautiful lady ... I have not shared PASSIONS as long as most,
I may not recognize the alias's you have mentioned,
but the one thing that is clear above all
is the warmth and understanding of love
wrapped in this Wynter's arms.
Touched is an understatement ...,
I feel overwhelmed by your words, touch,
and truly look for you here each and everytime I return ... life would not be ... any other way for me.

Thank you for the life you do share here.
I look forward to so much more.

nakdthoughts,
In the sense that we are all different and haven't had your experience you are right. But don't be too quick to believe that no one understands. You have touched me and I just got here.

Hey my good friend, remember, closing one door usually means opening another one. Let the other door lead you back here, where we do listen and care, even if we haven't seen you walk through all those stages, you are still a brilliant star on these pages. And your replies to my poems have always made me feel welcome and warm.

Oh sweetie, you have touched me and my heart so many times, you could never know. Please know that I understand your feelings, I often wonder what happened to the woman who had joy in her heart, and on her face.
I hope you will stay with us here, you are a wonderful presence, under whatever name you choose.
Love,

*sigh* dear one...can you see how many you have touched? Do you even know the power of the beautiful words that you pen? If your words were not here to fill our souls we would starve for the lack. Come back into the loving embrace of all those who have learned to love you through your words. Let us help you in your time of pain. My heart goes out to you, dear one. ***BIG HUGS***If I can be of any help please feel free to email me.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

There are so many on here to thank at the moment...I just wanted to say that I am only leaving temporarily..I still read when I have the time, but I have an opportunity and want to ready myself for it, and until I get word one way or the other, I have other things I need to do to organize my life. I am not leaving  at this time out of sadness or despair...and didn't want my absence to look like I was ignoring anyone.

Thank you for understanding...and  hopefully I will be back posting and responding soon.

The important thing is that you take care of you!  Then, return and write and I, for one, will look forward to that day!!!
