Loves Sweet Sorrow Part Two
The Morn Arises

The restless night had not prevented the  sun
from making a daily journey to morns arising
the lace trimmed pillows strewn across the bed
still wet from tears she had been softly crying.

She stepped out onto the veranda for breakfast
just like she had done on every other morn
heavy was her heart from loves sweet sorrow
there was no hunger, her heart was now torn.

Her daily stroll she made past the orchards
the aroma of peach hanging heavy on the air
she paused to tarry amongst the willow trees
coming to rest in her favorite faded wicker chair.

This had become her tranquil place of mind
as though her spirits own private sanctuary
it was here that she loved listening to the wind
and lonesome whistle sounds of a passing ferry.

Willow trees bending over touching the ground
reminded her of angel tears falling from the sky
but this day they were not the tears of angels
it was her own tears the willows did now cry.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
~Me~

(I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance~Garth)

OH GS this is so beautiful...
such wonderful imagery you have wrapped around these emotions...
it brought to mind a picture I just saw on the net...I will have to see if I can find it for you.....
beautiful writing poetess of the gentle.

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.

I found you! I see it...so clearly..as you have taken us into a dream. This is so gorgeously painted in soft southern hues. I want that wicker chair! Fantastic flow and imagery!!! You are beautiful in this. More!

JM, this is the perfect image to match this poem,
as though you saw my vision.......
Thank you!

Sey, I thank you, and you are much appreciated.

Star, thank you dear, for reading!

Noah, you are a shining light upon my words.

Nancy, indeed I am pleased that you enjoyed

Lauren, this compliment from your heart I
appreciate as I do your friendship.  Hugs.

Reg, somh~perhaps we shall
both someday sit under the beauty of
the willows on worn chairs of wicker.....
and we shall just enjoy the day!  thanks.
(part three on the way!)

James, So glad you found enjoyment
in these words.  Thank you for
reading them.

Hugs to all.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
