As a Hollow man
I am not hard to follow
always there today and tomorrow
at 6ft 1 I am larger than life
and yes in my being there are traces of strife
Try not I do to dwell on history gone
a note to focus on the sun that shone

The gentle giant that sleeps within
protects my soul from sorts of sin
Never indulged in whims or lust
morals formed with stainless steel
shall not rust

Yes a face, a smile kind words I show
to many my face is all they will know
can't read me like a book
can't assume what I'm like
my secret persona rests in the night

One wish if granted, I would make
I'd view myself as a big cream cake
Fluffy and sweet, and good to nibble
the kinda cake to make you dribble

So take my hand, and never worry
I do know how to use the words that say I'm sorry
Rest assured, dream deep, picture me in your sleep
I'll wait forever, ever more
we'll walk hand in hand across the shore
the footprints of history will vanish with time
and then you will, finally be mine..

*sigh* so very heartfelt and romantic. I was captured by the sweet tenderness of your words. I love this poem..it is gentle and loving. A very gentle giant indeed. Seeing as I am on 5 ft...you are very much a giant. Very well done.

Isn't that true. Never judge a book by it's cover-I think you give some pretty good insight of what's between the pages. Great write Richy, I like this.
