ANCHOR A man struggles to keep afloat in cold, turbulent waters, a kind hearted woman for a time offers him her life's boat to save his battered life... Stubbornly he refuses the offer, pushing the boat away: she knows as long as he's able to keep his head above the waves, there's no chance he will ever change. He won't allow her to find her wings and break free of his endless maze of tradition and materialism. In desperation, she decides to throw him an anchor instead, hoping he will realize the depth of his predicament. No longer looking back, she brings her rejected offer upon the shores of a new world and throws away the oars... She has discovered her wings and the freedom of flight, never to be a slave again! |

Excellent poem you have written here. One can only try so much before the anchor of love starts to drown the one offering it in the aid of another. |
