The leaf is blank
The quill is still
But here I am
With urge to fill

All the sheets
And every page
With whimsy thought
Or fit of rage

My journal’s here
I always start
Then not too long
I lose my heart

To tell the world
Of all my woes
To look at me
You’d never know

But poetry
Having actors
Takes a cast
From many factors

So I can be
most anything
in every daily chapter,
And calm my life
so well- I’ll love
from tears
and smiles and laughter!

The many faces
Of an empty pane

I think this says it all!
The need to write and express is always there; in many shades.
Another good one Walt!

Walt

Hey you're not so way out! I concur with your words. Thank you.

Excellent finale   Have I mentioned that Texans sure can write good?

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Walt,
My prolific pal! You're the bomb. Those lines are short and to the point. You do that well. Thanks.

I don't think you'll ever realize how cool you really are.  Every line in this poem is fantasmik! Very real, very you, and very intelligent.  I especially like how you ended the poem...

The many faces
Of an empty pane

Quite clever.  But I remember hearing that EVIL has many faces...

Excellent!
