"A great Love goes beyond the shores of death"
                      -Propertius

Grounded in the notion of our
primal urges and concealing
the "beast within" we stumble
on in illusions waylaid in
Freudian narcissistic detours.

So repressed, our truth
sinks to kink and guilt laden
we spiral to enticements of
erroneous substitutions of
one night stands and adultry.

From decades of darkness I
wander to the dawn of a
sky which gleams familiar as
the soothing scent amidst a herd,
a mother to a lost calf.

A darkened journey across
a masculine earth of body
and intellect at last offered
as a conduit to the enlightened
feminine soul of sky

whose rain of emotional
sensitivity and animating values
feed the arts and Love
a spiritual light beyond
what's visible and measurable.

I'll look now for the mirroring
eyes of a Love which will
exalt and justify true passion
enobling both, and pay homage
to a Creator through his

greatest creations. We'll find
each other's good angel and
forever enjoy the Divinity in
all beings. A mystical passion
which will overcome even the

supreme obstacle of death
and a Love beyond this life
rendered eternal.

         ~FIN~

You search for that which dreams are made of determinded to find it in a world filled with restrictions. You have a way with words, Sir, that makes the reader look closer still at what you are saying. So deeply your mind weaves that the answers become simple. Well done. I wish you well in your search for love eternal that will fill your heart and soul with the need you have.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Well, I'm certainly going to have a hard time getting these images out of my mind this morning...wait!  I don't want to

This is striking work.  I can't wait to read more, I will add this to my collection!

Thank you!

Richard to obtain that ultimate love that does last into infinity is everyone's goal whether they admit it or not, and you speak it well.  I love the way you always write "Love" with a capital L, by the way.  Wonderful write as usual, enjoyed.  I have linked your chronicles I and II for ease of reading, as they really belong together, hope you don't mind?

Richard....I am simply in awe of your arsenal
of appropriate words that so well describe
what we all wish to have.

Whoa......talk about imagery overload...
and poetic perfection....
the depth and honest explorations here in this series is as impressive as the images and expression.
I hate to see it end ....
Would it be too "Pavlovian" to beg for more   *L*
very very interesting series Richard.
well done.

I love the way you see love! Transcending all controllable elements of our reach. To love immeasurably surely would secure a  pass through any portal unscathed. I believe as such through the Holy Spirit, and we too are able to extend what shallow energy we know, and become something beyond our dreams. I feel this deeply...as your poem touched right there in the middle of the light. I hope you find that one that vessels your soul. Superb as always...but this I will keep!

Sincerely,
Regina
