Love is

You tell me that you love me,
Yet I feel so empty.
You hold me in your arms,
Yet you can't sweep me off my feet.

You say that love and sex are different,
But I want to be together as one.
What are you afraid of?
What are you afraid of?

I dream of the day when we share
our most intimate desires,
Dream our dreams
Being together for several hours.

I want to be loved, touched.
I am not a specimen in a bottle.
I am a woman.
I need love, passion, life.

How can I live without love?
Living without passion is far from life itself.
God gave us passion
To make a husband and wife as one.

I want to know you.
We are married and traveling this road together.
Let me be with you.
Let me see the heart you have hidden from me.

I need to know.
The secrets you keep within you
Are tormenting me
I just want to be loved.

Is that so much to ask?
I really need to know.
I want to make our marriage work
But the burden is more than I alone can bear.

Please help me.
Can't you touch me?
I want to be loved so
I can love you back.

Ive been on this road...its not the scenic route......

This is a powerful expression of sincerety and desperation to be heard.

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.

Oh, Benita. This is a heartbreaker. Is there any hope at this point, counseling, a honeymoon vacation? Kids are great. I love my child very much. But maybe you need a mini-vacation by yourselves, to run on the beach, hold hands at sunset, make love underneath a starry sky????

Thank you. I posted my poems because in reading other people's poetry here I found that I am truly not alone in how I feel. I decided maybe my poems can help others who feel as I do to heal the way other people's poetry has helped me!
