*I know the name is a bit strange, but it is the date I originally wrote this* Man standing at the curb of the road with a small boy at his side. They are dirty and disheveled with little to be desired. People just pass them by. They are but two of an ignored many, they’re forgotten. Yes, they might go away if no one ever stops. They’re not asking for handouts, just “Work For Food.” No one pays them heed. What does this teach the youth? You teach us to love but it’s not love that we are shown. Good Job Abigaile! It is so true, how we teach our young to love and then just walk away from something that may not be so pleasing to the eye...it's what's in the heart that counts, not the outward appearance! Love and you will always be loved! Hugs Cindi |

Yes, Abigail. It's easy to let the words of love fly about on the wind, but real actions require up-close-and-personal, a much more difficult line of communication. A good, thoughtful poem. ![]() |
