It’s What You Do With It he cursed and fumed, fussed at life never looking where brightness mattered he thought happiness lay in his wife so slowly, she, he tattered to the world he was a gem he knew the game he played but her world he condemned in his each and every way she knew of ways out of it don’t think that she did not but the pain would need to fit she would give back what she got for in his dark he would stay and in the bright, she’d fly to leave him fumble to find his way for her the universe as her sky |

"for her the universe as her sky" That about says it all doesn't it? For she will never be in the dark. ![]() Try giving your smile to someone who doesn't have one, and I bet someone will come along and give you another. |

It's What you have to work with. Watching Cursing and fuming, Fussing at life, Totally consuming A loving wife, Brightness was his, For others never is, Confined to dimness; Darkness. Battered And with time tattered, Harried his married, And tarnished. Gaming She stayed remaining Never complaining Her soul vanished. She got used to pain He was never the same As when they first were, He left her. He stayed there sort of, But never returned love, Ignoring her always Making sad days. Watching them part If only in heart Never complaining Her soul vanished. Then one day She went away Taking off to the sky And he didn’t know why. Yes I’ve seen this too As so well written by you. Midnitesun, revenge is something she will not do...but live well, she will... Yes Mysteria, she will never be in the dark... Professor, as always, you have expounded, and well, indeed...a poem in and unto itself, I do hope you post this in your own right/write...please... and thank you all... |

Wow, did you write this for me? Sounds like my life, even right down to the ending and him wondering why. No point in staying with someone that makes you miserable. Glad you found your way out too. We shall both fly now If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

Selfish obsession can dim the light of brighter others should they stand too close to a dark vacuum where their flame requires air to breathe. "Happy people have no history" - French Proverb |
