The Voice of His Soul…

On a footbridge
with moss covered rails
her figure, in a long black cap,
crosses a tree laden river

engulfed in a forest, where only
hints of light peek through, a whispered
voice calls to her in the gentle
rustling of the leaves…

in the cascade
of the water below

she comes here…everyday,
closing her eyes, she draws the
voice to her heart, and there his soul
is able to breathe
