Across the fence in a balancing act,
Smooth and steady glides with his pride intact,
The rail is an inch wide so it’s not hard,
And he ignores the barking from the yard.

He’s the unseen disturbance passing by.

The fire escapes runs up the sides of walls,
To him six flights up is not so tall,
At three O’clock there needs something to hear,
So from the ledge he knocks a can of beer.

He’s the unseen disturbance passing by.

He curls up his mitten there he waits,
Eventually all the noise abates,
The in quiet he stretches to a stand,
And casually knocks down another can.

I sometimes walk the rails.....but that pride intact thing is sometimes  hard to  do...along with my balancing act..if you know what I mean. *s

Thank you, Nakdthoughts,
I’ve always thought Cats as too aloof
Not to always have their pride intact,
But in balancing, that is always difficult.
Glad you enjoyed the unfurling tail.
