Come dance with me into the dawn
Twirl me as the band plays on
With the fairies we shall play
Together greet the light of day

Pick daisies to string through our hair
Enchanted garden, lovers lair
I’ll be the queen and you the king
We’ll listen as the angels sing

Fly with me across this land
We’ll set down on the clear white sand
Splashing through the sea of blue
I give this dream from me to you

I see a castle on the beach
A fairy tale that’s just in reach
Take my hand, I’ll lead you there
To promises and dreams to share

Come dance with me and hold me tight
Kiss me by dawns early light
Hold me, watch the break of day
In dreamland…..would you like to stay

Tracey this is lovely
wonderful imagery and emote wrapped in hramony of rhyme...
makes me want to go back to bed and chase the dream
well done poetess.

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.

A magical dream comes to life in this beautiful poem. I lost myself in your words and loved every minute of it.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Do remember that i have an enchanted castle

Tracey, I love this!  It's so charming and beautifully fantasy-like...what a love this would be!

I'm saving this one!

Take care,

Tracey,

Very romantic write here. Glad to hear that you did not say Bah Humbug to love for long.

Tracey you must be a terrific dancer with such flow and grace, these words say it so.
You would make it hard for anyone to say "No".

A welcoming dream indeed!!

Your writing is as though you have the ability to capture a dream and present it to the reader, captivating them.  Wonderful write Tracey.

WR, thanks, glad you liked it

JM, there's nothing like a good dream. Back to bed with you to dream some more!!

Jon, thank you

Kit, after enjoying so many of yours, I'm glad you enjoyed this piece. If I'm ever half as good at telling a story as you are, I will be happy

SmartChick, thank you

Startime, glad you got lost in it. I did too

Arthur, you have an enchanted castle too? Does the MG have a wing there? I love the PS. I already have a gown of green, maybe one day my knight will come and the picture will be complete

Melissa, I'm honoured if you're saving this one. My fantasy world is proud

Cpalmer, thank you. Some fairytales do come true, if not, I always have this one in my mind

Sandra, yes, co-operation helps a lot. I haven't found it yet. That's why this is still my dreamland. Now if I could ever title this Real-land  LOL   (Hell, I'd bottle it and sell it if it was real-land!!!)

Duncan, ah, but I am woman, and it is a ladies perogative to change her mind!!! I will be looking out for your response. You never fail to amaze me with your words, they are indeed beautiful, and never clumsy (though I've known women who send pretty clumsy e-mails)

Dawn, thank you. There's no Bah Humbug in this world. For this is dreamland, and that was awake land

CT, well, I have been known to take a turn on the dance floor!! You are indeed kind

Gentle Spirit, thank you for those high words of praise. I am honoured

Thank you all. Glad to share my little dream world with you. I do so enjoy it there.

Dreams of your own
though dreams not alone
fingers softly entwined
dance in your mind
which is more beautiful
the dream
or the dreamer
i believe it is a tie

Ok, not one of my better efforts but these cold pills are messing with my head.  (And not in a good way--haha)

Now I am truly convinced you Southern boys have charm!!! I don't think those cold pills have messed up your writing at all.

This dreamland I will take you to
And kiss you, if you ask me too
Daydream vacation I will share
I promised that I'd take you there
And if you like what you may see
Maybe you'll come back with me
Another day, another dream
Inside my world of make-believe

Yay for dreamland! Tracey, you'll have us all smiling in our sleep tonight with this one. And I was pretty sure that Bah Humbug thing was just a pile of humbuggeries.

Coco, glad you enjoyed

Larry, thanks, I like this dreamland too. I used to get in trouble as a child because my head was always in the clouds. I've always been a dreamer

Kacy, thank you. Yes dreamland is far more pleasant than Bah Humbugland isn't it. Think I might stay here and rest a spell

In my dreamland he takes my hand
and I no longer stand alone
But it's still never never land
As I sit by a silent phone..

Geez I am so inspired, hm? Just came back to reread, I love this poem
