Any given day you'll say goodbye

Things were going well
we were loving
playing
love was at its best
But then
any given day you walked away
I have to live with this
You say your love is mine
no other in your life
Then you get lost in a crowd
you can't find your way back to me
Then we start
searching for a reason
trying to understand
I'm tired of this cycle
you're tired too
but we've love too hard
Then we make up
we live love a blast
knowing inside
that any given day
you'll say goodbye

walker - sometimes we have to take that chance. Love comes and goes. If we are really lucky - it stays. Good one. Chris

Walker,

Unfortunately, I live my life waiting for that given day when my loved ones will say goodbye. I'm trying to rid myself of this destructive behavior though. Need to learn to enjoy life on a day to day basis.

Beautifully written, but a sad story. Sometimes the best poetry comes out of sadness, not that that's any consolation
