I lost you when I needed you most.
When my life was spiraling down.
You left us when times were the toast.
I sat silently, tear filled eyes and a frown.

You gave me life, my character too.
You gave me love, my wisdom as well.
You kept me safe as you always did do
You, dearest mother, made things swell.

You gave me your temper, your calm.
My heart full of so many feelings.
You taught me the 23rd Psalm
and how to live with life’s dealings.

You were a friend , you laughed with me.
Your smile I  see through mind’s eyes.
You consoled and held me comfortably
as we each sat crying, and sobbing sighs.

I hope I have given you happiness
as you watch from the heavens high.
I love you with all that I possess.
I leave you, but cannot say goodbye.

Thanx Maree,  I don't write about her very
much.  Just felt that would be a good thing
to do.  She died young (40).....I have missed
a lot of life with her.

Oh Magnus, This is lovely, and I miss my mother too. This was her favourite time of year. Your words are wonderful. Chris

Noah,  if you have a mother,  this is the time in your life,

when you should appreciate who you have.
For some day she won't be here.

Yes Dee...and there is a spot inside your
heart that never,  for so very long,  seems
to be made right.  Always something missing.
Many thoughts of times that did not get
shared.  I am very happy that I had her for
22 years of my life.  For there are so many
others who have never experienced that joy.

Susan,  there are not enough words to express
the feeling of loss that comes with losing
a parent you love.  Particularly if it is
suddenly.  That was 30 years ago and I have
never forgotten the feelings.  Nor will I
forget her love for me.

Lady of S....thanks much.  I just wanted to
write about her.  I have not done that in
many years.  I felt good about writing this.

Yes Karen,  I have asked God many times why?
Why?  because he needed her there.  I wait
for the moment I see her again.  She would
have been 71 this year.  My love of and for
her endures to this second in time.
