Listening to every heart

Nothing Comes

click

questions read of quizzicals
from where
poets respond in meticulous flair
and all around me lexis
flows
this is how a poet
grows

click

in swirl and twirl, eddying views
parlay
sounds of voices still unsaved
by connecting ink
to parchment white
dreams run fugitive back
to night

click

in early morning’s murky hush
coffee’s hot and in café’d
slush I waken opines
yet described
but soon they play
seek, and hide

click

so I sit in silent pondering
as to where my feelings
meander,
coupling words like puzzled
fits, reminiscent of
oleander

click

nothing comes
I sit and wonder,
if I had picket gates
would poetic verse wander
in and knock to see
my fate,
if I were home, seeking thee
in the dawning’s wait

click

soon nothing shall arrive
just as my day
falls under way
no pen to grasp, no paper
to mark
though thoughts shall play
in delighted lark

click

perhaps my nothings shall
find their way
to come visit minds
in playsome fray
casting shadowed reflection
to pen’s delight
that I might read them in
your words
this night

click

To me,  this has a Shakesperean flow to it.
I think it is a great write.  You have
written this well.  There is a lot to
ponder within.

(smiles) Oh Karilea, you are our sunshine to us always, and your words are always so gorgeous to read! (smiles) I know that feeling too, where you're not in a writer's block yet you just can't seem to get your thoughts out exactly like you want them to! (big hugggssssss) Your words are always so beautiful and fun to read! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet sunshine, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I'm a bit stuck for inspiration myself right now but do enjoy others who are in the groove.

Wow, I'm glad Walt brought this back up. I missed it yesterday. This is really good writing. I love the way you've put the whole thing together.

Oh please read my words
so playsome and frolicking
feel lips curl in smile

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
