Waxed, we wick, we burn, we snuff - how can we relate in sage? And sit, shaded from what lurks outside, stirring brevity and an uneasiness that gnaws. Palm slides exchange - looks halfway meet, soon crumbling and dissipating into the wool at our feet. We are wax now, melting in war, our sage surrounding silence. We mask internal fires with the slightness of a smile, ashing. While the day remains, washed in soot - our decree designed. You see. A scent of wild heals, conceals for moments what continues in the sky. We are short, and growing shorter still, although advised to reach, we fail, and relate in sage. I know. |

'We are short, and growing shorter still, although advised to reach, we fail, and relate in sage. I know.' You really do relate in sage. And we are not reaching out far enough, fast enough. |

Your poetry is always so thought provoking. I have to read it a few times to get the meaning, and everytime I read, I understand a little more. I admire your writing very much If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

![]() (sad sigh) Such sorrow fills this poem! (sad sigh) Sometimes we just can't grow all the way, but the sage is also what riches the soil, and hopes will grow from what has seared. (big hugggsssssss) Very powerful poem, dearest friend! You have sucha beautiful heart, dearest Spitfire, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Well, other than all the comments above, you KNOW how I feel about your writing. I always, ALWAYS look forward to reading what comes from you; enigmatic, meaningful, wonderous things the depth of which always astounds. In writing I always try to put myself in the "place" of which I write...I've yet to reach your level tho... Maybe, just maybe, someday. My heart to you, my friend. jwesley |

You wax eloquent. We wane, our fatted presence shrinks with our fading light of influence. Our wick's fuses precursors to a leveling of the substance whose plasticity was for so long a towering influence we mistook ourselves for everlasting lighthouses. |
