The Bear And The Flower

Every morning in the rising sun
through the wood accross the stream to see
a bear cub follows his dad for fun
the bumbling flight of a honey bee

From his dad before and before that
combing the wood for the hidden hives
this morning chore done before they sat
the ones of legend that hunger drives

Always caught near meadows with Daisy
the hard working bumble bee is found
Buttercup, Susan's that are lazy
flower to flower and all around

Every morning in the rising sun
the taste of honey turns to dry leaves
the bees are followed where there is none
and through the years each father grieves

From his dad before and before that
except this morn when the bear cub chose
the morning chore done before they sat
to play in the new morning meadows

Running and rolling in the flowers
now and then sighting the precious bees
funfilled moments ran into hours
flying and swarming the endless seas

Every morning in the rising sun
the bear cub seeks out the fresh flower
as bees are followed as always done
the ones that hide the hidden power

For in their mists never to be found
lies the golden honey in a stream
buried in a hunk of wood and ground
close to the flower that forms its dream

  I love it!
This is great nature imagery tied to some truths as old as time, maybe older.
Thanks for sharing this honey sweet piece of poetry.

(giggles happily) Oh my gosh, this is so so cute! (smiles) I love watching little cubs playing around in the open fields; I saw the little cub trying to fly like the bumblebee. (smiles) Sooooooo beautiful and sweet! You have such a beautiful heart, dearest Craig, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
