Reading My Mind

This was not the first time
she told me she liked me.
I always responded in kind...
"Yes I like you too."
She seemed to be reading my mind.
And yet I know that she believes that we
are completely different in so many ways.
For I have found myself living
in a large circle of female friends
and for many years raising her daughter
was her one and only plan
and as a woman completely dedicated to her daughter she found little time to share her day with a special man.
I felt like I could understand the words
she was hesitant to say.
That's when I said,
"Do you want me to go away?"
And that's when she said,  "No...
I like you and I want you to stay."

Ah, this is sweet JM. She sounds like a lovely lady, and it sounds like there will be more poetry to come!!!

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Sounds like there is romance in the near future for you. *grin* I can't wait to see what poems you come up with from it. There is nothing like the special poems of someone falling in love. BRAVO!!!I really like this poem.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
