Thwack ! The axe splits wood with , ... Crack ! Flocks , a fleet of honking horns . Rustled rasp of rust brown leaves whisked , with whoosh , on wind-swept morn . Thunk and clunk , as chunks are piled . Scolds of strident squawking jay . Squeak ! , of weathered wood-shed hinge . Clang ! , as tools are put away . Thud , of muddied boots on stairs , wood-winds whistle day to end . Pine-wood pops to fan the flames , contented sighs , wish thee , my friend , symbolic in simplicity , all fall sounds in harmony . |

I love it! But I'm glad I have a monitor heater this year, using #1 fuel...really cool, not having to chop and axe at ZERO and below. (Love the ono stuff.) [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (edited 10-18-2001).] |
