My People

Dearest Lord, I hear the cry of my people;
Mine heart hurts overwhelmed; please save my people!

Kneel they neath a yoke grim and deplorable;
Please hear my pleas, Dear God, preserve my people!

See their souls and spirits wounded horrible!
Grant them release, Dear Lord, and heal my people!

Crushed, their hearts lay neath despair unbearable;
Dear God of life, grant hope unto my people!

Lost they walk in pain dismal and terrible;
To peace and safety, Lord, please guide my people!

Weakened before countless acts unspeakable,
They need your strength, Dear God; embrace my people!

Their dreams lay dead, dying and ineffable;
Dear Lord of grace, bring promise to my people!

Dwell they deep in folds of darkness peccable;
God, shine your light effulgent on my people!

Lord, Zahaar, your servant, prays amenable;
Let end their timeless grief; redeem my people!
