Around The Bend

If hell is paved with good intent
Then love must be the only vent.
Be humble in the things you do.
And all of life will turn to new.

The mountains that your senses see
Are islands in a global sea?
They rise above your own despair
Like giants in forbidden air

They are but phantoms standing tall
A mist of mind that stays your all
A height a sight that tests your wings
A mound of fear like other things

Your road is paved with good and bad.
With flowers made of joy and sad.
And if you walk a path that’s true
You will than find the other you.

For life is but a start and end
With goal and soul around the bend.

A hearty read from beginning to end, I especially enjoyed the 3rd stanza.

You take a road and twine its wind
in crave's mystery that you bind
a way of scene that all might see
the inner light that rests in thee...

I get so tickled when you chime in rhyme!

With pen in hand ... you are cooler than cool
Wrapped in wisdom's rhyme ... you teach the soul's golden rule
Gifted poet and prophet ... you light the blues, you spark the fuse
When you write like this ... I just wanna kiss your muse

me

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.

Gonna pick some of those flowers made of joy ...
I know they are blooming just around the bend.

Thank you, gentle poet~

I can't wait to find the other me "around the bend"   I'll look forward to that as I travel the road of "good and bad" and smell it's flowers of "joy and sad."

An elegant write Seymour filled with a beautiful feeling. Well for me anyway

Maree.
