There have been so many poems about kissing that I just couldn't resist writing one too. I hope you enjoy it.

From Our Lingering Kiss

His arms open to embrace me
drawing me to his heart
I gazed at him with lover's plea
my desire to impart

His pulse beats steady 'neath my hand
life's basic rhythm, strong
Lips parted in silent demand
singing a timeless song

His lips descend to claim the prize
granting me total bliss
I see the passion in his eyes
from our lingering kiss

Karen - This is a perfect portait of a woman's heart. It beautifully describes my Lorelei's demand for my kisses. I think I understand better now why she needs those kisses.

Jon....isn't it wonderful what the imagination can do. I was so inspired by poems about kisses that kissing filled my dreams and I just had to write this. I am glad you enjoyed it.
