I think about you every day but I know that you have gone away
I sit here and start to cry but sometimes I don't know why
Shouldn't I be over you?  You were my love that was true
You tell me that if I truly do love you to let you go.  I've tried, I really have, I thought you might want to know
I came across a picture of us today, the one of us sitting on your bed.
Suddenly a thousand thoughts of you and I filled my head.
Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?  Did you not want me to know?  Did you want me to find out for myself?
Now I don't know what to do, my love for you for you continues to grow.
I won't ask for another chance, I know I'll never get one
Sometimes I think that if I try hard enough, I can forget you but the harder I try, the more my love for you continues to show
I thought I was over you, I really did
but no matter what happens between us, i will always be your friend.
