~Raindrops Of Remember~

parched lips so often thirsting for your kiss
recall a time entangled in such bliss
this arid heart sustained with reminisce
once filled with love now lost in vast abyss

we crossed the bridge of love and paid the toll
now memories are all that will console
desolation reigns within my soul
I pray the rains will come and make me whole

so let the storm clouds burst
till my heart has been submersed

then shower me
with raindrops of remember

~vlraynes

Vicky, this is beautiful....sadly we all must pay the toll at times.  I love the ending....really pulls at the ol' heartstrings!

Nothing better than finding another "rain" poem and this one truely is a beauty.  I am so glad that this one came back up because with my limited time here I am sure I would have missed it.  Very happy that I didn't.  Wonderful write and wonderful topic...."LOVE AND RAIN" mix so well together.

amazing analogy...when rain so often is equated with sorrow...when it is so right to equate it with moisture...renewal...life!

enjoyed!
