Jagged peaks thrust to the sky, Tearing holes in heavens high, Allow the sun, its light to pour, Down mountains’ sides, to valley floor. From snowcapped peaks of pure white grace, Mountain brook in headlong race, Against the sun’s cascading flow. To verdant valley, far below, From virgin snow, to tranquil lake, Whil’st in between, wild path doth take, Sun and gurgling mountain brook, Freefalling down from heaven’s nook. Unbroken sheen, clear crystal glass, Reflecting peaks of mountains’ pass, Sun and brook, meet at lake’s shore, Having raced from God’s front door. Sun and brook, their race a tie, Mirroring splendor of the sky, In their joinder, time stands still, Gazing on God’s windowsill. |

Mike~ Imagery at it's finest. Especially enjoyed - 'Jagged peaks thrust to the sky, Tearing holes in heavens high, Allow the sun, its light to pour, Down mountains’ sides, to valley floor.' So lovely~ ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Such wonderful imagery mixed with perfection in cadence and meter. This was definitely a pleasure to read and I am adding to my library so as to not only read again and again but also to learn from. |
