very nice... sparse placement of words enhances the feel... and reinforces the images... one thing crossed my mind stripped sand? I kept seeing it as striped, as in wind striped..adding texture to the image.. amazing where ones mind goes.. somtimes.. Good Read and one to keep... |

Decaflame: the tornado is always cycling; it's a matter of what's in its path and what will become one with it, if even for a brief moment... That's what I'm enjoying also about this style, Ron -- that the words may connotate different things and pictures. -MVS "When you tell the Truth, you never have to remember what you just said." --Del Casher [This message has been edited by MARK V SHELDON (edited 07-24-2001).] |

Okay..I got this image: Someone pulled the plug in the bottom of the ocean and it rushed down leaving nothing, but wind and sand and someone to draw their name in it. Like a clean sheet of paper. Like starting over and making the best of what you have. Leave it to me to be different. Fantastic! Sincerely, Rwood |

I like that, Regina! Very unique, indeed. Ripe visual for a poem (hint, hint...wink, wink...nudge, nudge...say no more...) -MVS "When you tell the Truth, you never have to remember what you just said." |

Mark, This was very visual, as sometimes in life we can just get so entangled in our dreams that never come true, and our elusive fairytale hopes. But soon the moments gain momentum again, and we are off to create that utopia that we all harbor in our hearts... Elise |

Nice write Mark. I really enjoyed the way you worked the words. Do not fear going forward slowly, |

Reminds me of being in the desert, which was not very pleasant at all. Though I see what you were showing. And if we let the winds take us away, what then? Land in Oz, perhaps? Sandra |
