Crossing Heavens Door
(a sonnet recital for Wilfred)

The Rain is here; the clouds have come, cold heart,
And We, a tear drop in this dampened life;
You were Our special poet full and part,
Tonight, We walk in Dark without your light.
The rain has covered all that We once knew,
But water is not enough to wash this pain;
We’ll walk this muddy path in search of you,
Although your life has gone and left this plane;
Your words at least will be Our guides tonight,
Where ever they may lead, We ask not why?
Away from our own fears where death takes life;
Please take Us to a place where Poets don’t die!
  We’ll write and sing for poets, now gone, before,
  As you our Wilfred crosses heavens door.

FareWell Good Poet….

Syllable count or not...this is perfect...
perfect and just,-- in its gift and in its intend...
and it is reasons like this...that I have come to respect you so...as a poet, yes...but more so a friend and someone who I can trust without question.
Beautiful poem, a wonderful tribute and a touching inspire...
like I said ....Perfect
love ya for this P-man...

Geez, now I have to cry again! Amazing, Parker, just beautiful, endearing to all, and I prap Will could hear it. You read well, it certainly added to an already special piece.

Bill may have left Earth's Plain, but his soul has taken this beautiful and heartfelt Sonnet with it.  This is so wonderfully thoughtful of you James.  I I'm positive that his family would be so grateful and truly honoured that such an incredible piece of poetry is dedicated to someone that they obiviously love very much.

Extrodinary writing James.

Of all your recitals, this one stands out to me.  For it is from the heart and deserves another read.
