Ah, this Piece of Day Virginia Salter this lovely, lovely piece of day when moist of air holds heat at bay of summer sun, its powered throng and rays that sing a lazy song when butterflies flit awake seeking for a sugar cake within the succulent of blossom whose sweetness is completely awesome and honeybees buzz their alarms to waken all to morning’s charms when shadows west from eastern rise and early birds seek out their prize and slumberers snooze much too long to hear and see this morning song oh Saturday of summer’s weeks shimmers down and over peaks laces fern and garden’s grow more delicate than one might sew for it’s creation’s sweet betide that escorts in this summer side © July 21, 2001 |

*sigh* I USED to get up early *LOL* Desire to ever see my friends forced my hand a bit, so now I stay awake far too late and sleep 'till the morning's almost gone! But I remember well the morning's boon, and you painted a pretty picture of one such morning. Thank you for the imagery! Ted |
