The Hermit Ice Seldom moves across a surface As easily as the slender shape Of an expertly paddled canoe. Fiberglass And the smooth, green polish of the swamp Touch. The genius stroke, Perhaps to remind itself That a frictionless world does not exist, Occasionally interrupts progress With a wack. RMW [This message has been edited by RMW (edited 07-11-2001).] |

Silver surface cut quietly by knife edge hull disturbs little but leaves behind fading Vee and whirlpools that vanish as quickly startled fish and paddles dip the turn to J repeating again the journey home |

Now Bob... be glad to tell anyone that wants to know.... but not right now.. ( laughing) you got my mind canoeing... Sun diamond gurgle Ripples through the day As the corridors of Forest guide me on my way Gentle rocking cradle 17 ft long carries me on the river far from maddening throng |

War Canoe Mute,. They sign their passing While the lake with morning sighs A breath so still, Illusion veils. The shore breathes no reply. RMW PS Prefer yours....it sparkles. |

birch bark surely found no better carve than what the two of you can do enjoyed the journey, a beautiful glide that was as closeless to frictionless as possible, me thinks Bob, I haven't sent this week's article, I shall fire it off! Since you've said, "Bye," you'll probably get it before you know it's coming. |

To the Hermit I sit beneath trees my eyes frosted in reverie when a sudden thump directs the perfect flow of muscled slither to makes a riple on my bare foot [This message has been edited by Martie (edited 07-11-2001).] |
