Centered We moved east And met west We floated north And drifted south Being centered We met And found life Do not fear going forward slowly, |

Interesting... any thought in this given to the native American belief that all life is on a wheel...and it is the center where we stand in sacred times? I enjoyed.. |

Not really, just that people go in so many derections and end up back were they started from. Looking at it as it were, a man and a woman. Do not fear going forward slowly, Fear only standing still. [This message has been edited by shadow974 (edited 07-20-2001).] |

This is one to ponder...one that can be interpreted in many ways too! I thought of it as the tendency in youth to be restless and to travel but then later on the need to settle down and start a life with someone. Great write! ~Krista "Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you. |

Definately widely interpretable I love that! I got a bit of an interesting first impression of it. I got from it that the one direction was the way the body traveled, while the other was where the heart pulled, and eventually they met in the middle. Enjoyed the write! Ted |

Very cool, Dan! Could be interpreted as a couple having literally moved to the East Coast (or Far East, for that matter), never having found each other, though they share this past; then literally meeting each other on the West Coast (or Europe?); they try to remain in sync with each others' lives/habits and drift apart due to conflicts(North vs. South); finally end up compromising and find that in that wisdom, they finally see eye-to-eye by meeting in the middle and have the reward of a happy life together... -MVS "When you tell the Truth, you never have to remember what you just said." |

Being a person who has lived so many places, this poem felt just right to me. I have a feeling I may end up where I started. Well said. I like it. Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. |

Mark it's not one of my better poems, I liked it because most couples go through a emothional roll coaster before they come to term with each other. Do not fear going forward slowly, Fear only standing still. [This message has been edited by shadow974 (edited 07-21-2001).] |
