Dolphin Dreams By: Noah Eaton 7/11/01 Look down into the waters, what do you see? Toddling gentle brothers swimming in pleasant dreams An’ surfing the reefs and coming out to play with their mermaid siblings Who hop on for a magic ride under the sea Princess Pearl, a mermaid jolly and beautiful Summons her brothers to her garden castle She said let there be such a day To see your dreams come wishing away Polishing an oyster shell spick and span Holding a pearl in her fingers, softening it in hand A light escapes her fingertips Inviting the Keeper Of The Rainbow to this abyss An’ her brothers dive upward like kittens at play Diving out under the water to kiss this velvet ray An’ the mermaids hop aboard the dolphins Brotherly love illuminating rainbow visions An’ the mermaids kiss their brothers on the nose An’ the dolphins hearts shimmer in silver and gold Gentle waters alight in every hue Silver streaks tying family knots in tune Mermaid laughter while the sun blankets their emotions Dolphin dreams swimming about in silver mist Come with me and let us see Dainty dreams these dolphins bring... |

Not just for children, Noah. I love the fantasy element, and dolphins are so wonderful. Really special poem. Sandra |
