Sparkling… Placid surface Reflecting tree line And sun Belies the death Lurking in its depth To those not breathing Such liquid form. How does beauty Such as yours Not Hold menace To all who fall Into the sea Of your Eyes? |

Reminds me (completely abstractly) of the lyrics to a traditional Russian folk song, "Dark Eyes", in terms of the mesmerization by the beauty and fear of the same "object of desire"... Again, VERY powerful imagery here. So, are you going to publish a book of your works, or what?? I claim dibs on the first signed copy. :-) -MVS "When you tell the Truth, you never have to remember what you just said." |

I felt an exaggerated nervousness out of this piece. That exaggeration isn't necessarily unrealistic at all though, I have felt that irrational fear under the scrutiny of one I found beautiful. Provocative work. |
