My heart remains bruised as it
bears the scars of my sadness
of a love that has now died
Our love was once such a beautiful creation
A love that we created - you and I
Was I so wrong for believing
it would last forever and a day?

The words that once flowed from my heart
are now buried beneath my sorrow
as I try to salvage something positive
from all of these negatives

This poet looks for words of comfort
from this depressing myriad of words
that move silently inside my head
No love = no happiness
No colors in my rainbow
No perfume in my flowers
No guiding light in my life
No reason to write

My words have lost their meaning
now that you have gone
I'm like a one man band
without his instruments
with no tune to play
and no audience to applaud him

The harmony has now gone
How sad was the song
As the tears fall freely from my eyes
And I bid your love goodbye

How sad! A world without love is not worth living at all. I truly hope that you find a true love soon ~hugs~ And, I do know how you are feeling. I've felt this way for years.
