She sits by the silent phone
and the quiet computer screen,
checking the email every 2 minutes
hoping,
while inside she silently screams
Oh, my God!
Oh, my God!
Hast thou forsaken me?
The email never arrives.
He is one of those lost lives.
And still she refuses
to believe it
when the screen tells her
'No new messages.'

Yes many are hoping for that phone call or message, or for a miracle to happen and their loved one will return to them...may God take them into his arms and love them and comfort them....James

There will be some who feel that no miracles have come to them. Others will indeed be blessed...

the biggest miracle will be the U.S.A. standing together and sending the biggest message of all...

well done...

This truth is so agonizing. I pray they receive a miracle. And when miracles have run out, I pray they see the love and support we will unfailing extend to them. God bless.

Sincerely,
Regina

Sunshine: Thank you. You are true to your name. Keep your light ready, there is so much darkness out here, and we can't afford as a nation to lose our way.

Regina: Thanks. Sadly, there are far too many waiting, who by now are dreading the knock at the door, the phone call, the email.

for many it is difficult to imagine how painful it is for someone like this woman waiting by her phone. I personally know three kids from my school who had relatives in those towers when all hell broke loose, but luckily they all escaped in time..

Love is God. Love is war. Love is what your life is for.

Eagle Scorpion, thanks for the wonderful news! Every person who escaped knows how lucky they are to have another chance to hug a loved one.

Faterider..thanks for being here with us. This was written for Cathy, whose husband went to work Tuesday and apparently hasn't returned yet, and for as many as 5,000 other families....the number is staggering.

There is a woman here in the Houston area that the damn radio keeps interviewing. Her son was in the pentagon and it seems cruel to me to continue her interviews where she holds out hope that her son may still walk out of the ashes. Thank God some were able to E-mail and cell phone Loved ones to tell them in final words of their Love, now eternal.

I often thought of cellphones as an intrusion of private, quiet space. The interview with Jeremy Glick's family proves to me that it can indeed be an important lifeline. On flight 93, headed for his final destiny, he called his wife and told her that he needed her to be happy...he knew he probably wouldn't be coming back home. Though she lost him, she is one of the lucky ones, to have had a chance to say I love you, and goodbye. I still cry every night, knowing how many will never have that chance again. And I hug my daughter every day.
