When the damage is all done
And the pain has been conceived
It’s going to be hard
To pick up pieces we once believed

The devastation left behind
Is all we can comprehend
Its left here to remind us
Of a faction filled with hate and sin

When the smoke clears
We stand tall
We won’t shoot you in the back
We won’t call
We want to see the look on your face
When your final curtain falls
When the smoke clears

When the tallies have been made
And the dead have all been buried
The ticking clock will remind them
That their time cannot be tarried

Cause it is just a matter of time
Until the hunters find their hunted
And they pay their price at the gate
Going to hell is not what they wanted

When the smoke clears
We stand tall
We won’t shoot you in the back
We won’t call
We want to see the look on your face
When your final curtain falls
When the smoke clears

A very wonderful writing indeed, and you speak for a lot of Americans, as well as others around the world.  I WANT to see their faces.  Welcome to Passions!

Welcome Songstress51! A great first post. Yes I believe I would like to see all their faces plastered across the land of freedom they so hate. God bless!

Sincerely,
Regina

Well I looked to the sky for my anthem
The words and the music came through
But words and music can never touch
The beauty that I've seen in you
