Why

words come forth through silence
hardly wit-filled, still, I write
if but to offer solace
or perhaps, a bit of light

words that only fill my soul
perhaps, that is their only goal
if but to offer solace
or perhaps a place to shoal

to search for them so charily
then put them forward warily
if but to offer solace
proffering some empathy

still that doesn’t clarify
why I write words that cry
in trying to offer solace
to find answers, is why I try

Me too - just write whatever comes up to somehow make someone, somewhere feel better, and perhaps it might help me to feel better too. I can not move on, so I write, and write. Boy, do i understand this one sis!
